Gladys Hoefer-Jacobson

Mrs. Gladys Jacobson, 22 W Dexter St, a retired Micro Switch employee, died Saturday afternoon, in Benjamin Stephenson Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 30, 1901 in Freeport, the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Kempert) Hoefer. Mrs. Jacobson graduated from Freeport High School and was employed by Micro Switch for over 20 years until retiring. Surviving are a niece, Mrs. William (Norma) Wallace of Aberdeen MD, and a nephew John H. Hoefer of La Crosse, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Oye, pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, will officate. Burial will be Oakland Cemetery. There were no visition.
