FREEPORT -- Robert F. Ludolph, 68, of Freeport died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
Son of Karl and Florence (Rishel) Ludolph, he was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Freeport. He and Anna Kussner were married June 26, 1954, in Freeport. He worked at Garrity Drug Store in Freeport and he retired after working for pharmacies in Monroe, Wis.
After graduating from Freeport High School in 1947, he received a Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1953. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the Army. Surviving him are his wife of Freeport; three sons, Keith (Laurie) Ludolph of Davis, James (Heidi) Ludolph of Freeport and Carl Ludolph, at home; one daughter, Luann (Todd) Stephenson of Lanark; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl H. Ludolph of Quincy and Fritz (Betty) Ludolph of Hurst, Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Woodrow, Lloyd and Harold. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Schwartz Funeral Home with the Rev. William McDonnell of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
